Cricket Success for Felbridge

On Friday 21st May we went to the East Grinstead Sports Club where eleven schools were competing in a Yr 6 Kwik Cricket Tournament. Our first match was against Ashurst Wood, which we won! We then had to play Blackwell in our last group match and we managed to win that too!

It was a lovely sunny day and after lunch we discovered we were through to the winners group. We had to play Halsford Park and St Mary's and would definitely be in the top three whatever happened. We beat both of these teams buy just 4 runs and ended up as Champions in first place. St. Mary's finished 2nd, with Halsford Park 3rd.

Overall it was a really fun day which was definitely worth all the effort and our success was thanks to our brilliant teamwork!
By James Wood and Imogen Turner.

As well as the Yr 6 tournament we were also able to host a Yr 4 event. The following teams competed in a round-robin format: The Meads, Estcots, West Hoathly, and St. Marys

All 4 schools enjoyed a great day of cricket with The Meads winning the tournament and remaining unbeaten in all of their matches. The event was supported by Yr10 Sports Leaders from both Sackville and Imberhorne.
