Mid Sussex District Council Grants for the development
of clubs and coaches
Sports Grants
This scheme aims to help local sports clubs to provide
greater opportunities for a wide range of people to participate
and compete in sport. Grants may be awarded towards the
cost of buying equipment, tournaments and competitions,
and publicity. Grants of up to £250 are available through
the scheme.
- Sports Training Grant Scheme
This scheme aims to enable local sports coaches, officials
and club administrators to develop their skills by taking
a recognised coaching course or award. This scheme aims
to assist those people promoting and developing youth
sport opportunities in Mid Sussex. Grants of up to £250
are available through this scheme.

West Sussex Youth Service Affiliation and Grants
Grants are available through West Sussex Youth Service,
for information on how to become affiliated contact Jackie
Cooper (East Grinstead area Neighbourhood Youth Worker) on
01342 321585. More details provided below. (affiliation
is free subject to certain requirements)
Organisations affiliated to the Youth Service receive regular
circulars and communications including a copy of the magazine
'Youth Matters', be included in directories of youth organisations,
be able to take advantage of the annual training programme
for youth workers and avail themselves of advice and support
from Youth Service professional staff.
Affiliated organisations are eligible to apply for financial
assistance, within the grants system, towards the cost of
Initial setting up grants, rent (including heating and lighting),
equipment, part Time Youth Workers, training and curriculum
projects and block grants (annual assistance towards running
expenses).
Small capital grants are available from East Grinstead Town
Council.
