
Junior Youth Sport Action Group
JYSAG is an important means of communication between young
people and those that organise sport in the area.
What will the Junior Youth Sport Action Group do?
- talk about local youth issues and suggest possible action
- tell the main Youth Sport Action Group about their views
- help the main Youth Sport Action Group to organise events
- talk to friends about their views on sport for young people
- possibly organise their own event
- invite people from the local area to talk about youth
sport (e.g. Kings Leisure Centre, East Grinstead Sports
Club)
How will the Junior Youth Sport Action Group work?
- have meetings once every term
- approximately 20 members required
- take place at the Kings Leisure Centre or Wallis Centre
- agenda to be decided by the group
- Youth Sport Development Officer (YSDO) to send out agenda
for each meeting to all interested people and to act as
secretary
- 2/3 people from the Junior Youth Sport Action Group will
attend the main Youth Sport Action Group meetings.
- Members will need to commit for at least three meetings
a year.
