Kwik Cricket Tournament at East Grinstead Sports Club

On Wednesday 24th June 2009, there was a Kwik Cricket Tournament at East Grinstead Sports Club.

There were 4 teams which were Turners Hill, Copthorne, Crawley down and West Hoathly.

The tournament was for Years four and five. Turners Hill team was Milo, Teddy, Patrick, Lawrence, Harry, Ria, Elizabeth, Mia and Ellen.

Our first game was against Copthorne - we beat them by 49 runs. Lawrence hit the first six of the day and Elizabeth took an amazing catch.

Our second match was against Crawley Down. We all tried our best but sadly we lost by 11 runs.

Then we played the last and most important match of the day for Turners Hill. We were against West Hoathly and everyone bowled and batted very well. We won by 20 runs.

The top three teams all drew on points so it came down to runs. Third place was Crawley Down and unbelievably us and West Hoathly had the same runs.

So it came down to the last game and we WON, so we won the tournament!
